The library’s collection mainly focuses on the popular traditions of Rome and Lazio from the Eighteenth century of the present day. It also stocks texts pertaining to demoanthropology and museology, and is being added to through exchanges and gifts from other museums, libraries, and cultural institutions, and through specific acquisitions.

Books can usually only be consulted within the library, however this can occasionally be waived after a formal request to the Director of the Museum.
